Odell 2012
Today is the memorial service for Pete's grandpa, Gerald "Peanuts" Williams. Yesterday we made the drive to Portland, then to Eugene, to up the mountain to Crescent at the Odell Lodge. We are at
We are at 5000 feet today!
The lodge has wifi now, so I thought I would upload a few photos that I took last night. It is certainly a bit colder here than we thought, but it looks like the sun is coming out today.
I think Annie & I are going to kayak in the lake this morning.
I'll post more photos as I can.

Slideshow of Zoe art
July 21, 2012 zoe art I sent these drawings through the scanner and they are a little weak. Usually I photograph each one & they look a lot better. There were SO MANY though on computer paper that this seemed like a better option. I will take pictures of her other art & post it soon. She does at least a dozen drawings every day. |

Saturday
Zoe & I went to breakfast this morning and went to the Edmonds Farmer's Market. Today we got lettuce and flowers. Zoe had her pink cookie - I tried to walk past them but she pulled me to the right when I tried to turn left.
Pete has spent the entire day installing a new boiler at some apartment building downtown so that a bunch of people can have hot water again. Hopefully they can finish the job tonight so he doesn't have to work on Sunday too.
Today Zoe told me that she does not like pickles because they are too bumpy. The list of things that she will not eat is so long it's not worth writing down, but some of the "regular kid" foods that she refuses to touch/taste/smell are: peanut butter, jelly, goldfish crackers, corn dogs, soda [anything carbonated], tuna, oranges, spaghetti sauce, fish sticks, anything that is a sum of its parts: tacos, burritos, sandwiches, pie, soup, milkshakes, smoothies, ice cream sundaes...
Her favorite flavor of anything is vanilla.
I scanned a big stack of her drawings today. I am going to attempt to post another slideshow. It used to be so easy and google changed some things. They really want everything stored on a cloud drive and then I would just invite you to access it there or with Google+. But I am not interested in learning how to use Google + and I don't want to make everyone I know sign in.
It is bed time.

Zoo on Father's Day
We had a nice afternoon at Woodland Park Zoo on Father's Day. That turtle used to be about the same size as Zoe. I have a picture of her laying in it every summer!
We can now add Cotton Candy to the list of regular-kid foods that Zoe does not like. She begged me to buy it for her and then wanted to know why it was so fluffy. She put a little piece on her tongue and then said "yuck. I don't like cotton candy."
peony
I waited 3 years for my peony to grow up & bloom. It did, and then Pete cut it down "accidentally" with the weedeater in 3 seconds.
