The bike path behind our house is lined with blackberry bushes. The first crop is ripe now and if we get more sun & rain the other 2000 berries will hopefully come in the next couple of weeks. I've picked a couple of quarts so far. I'm just blending & straining the seeds out for some nice sauce. Blackberries are $4 a pint at the store, so it sure is nice having so many for free. The only thing I have to do is pick them before the neighbors get out there.Tuesday, August 19, 2008
